Well. Someohow, my iPhone’s SIM card happened to get Locked. and everytime I turn on and off my iPhone 3G, it makes me enter that stupid code to get service. I’ve been using my 1st gen. iPhone for a while, and i decided to update it when the SIM card was locked, and when it was updated, iTunes brought me to a “Welcome to your new Apple iPhone. Please follow the directions to activate your new iPhone.” or something a long the lines of that. yeah, it’s not a NEW iphone, it’s activated, and a little message pops up on the 1st gen. iPhone saying Please enter a Valid SIM Card without a PUK lock to activate. Um, iPhone, I would if I could, trust me.
So now I’m using my iPhone 3G now, and i need to find a fix because I want to update my iPhone. Not like the FW 2.2.1 is great or anything, but other updates too!! So, If anyone knows of a fix for this, leave it in the comment box below, and you’ll be awesome!! Thanks!
Here are some pics showing what I am talking about….

Okay. So there is a little thing called a overdraft at the bank. I have to have ATLEAST 15.00 in the bank to keep from being charged each overdraft. So let’s just say I went below $15.00 a little, or a lot. So I now owe the bank about $100.00. Someone has already donated a little, so I just need a little more to get what I need. (thanks to the person who donated the other money) So, if you would like to help me… then please go donate to this chip in link here.
Thanks in advance…

I’m trying to work on a new site with a new design soon. I just need to get the server and get my stuff transfered to a different site. Yeah, since I am a loser, and not smart and all, I dont really get the whole server thing and what all I need to do to get my site going. I already have a domain, which redirects back to this site. (joshftv.com) So you know, if you want, you can email me at joshftv@gmail [dot] com and explain this to me, the whole process, site you recommend me getting everything from blah blah blah.

I just recently found out about this new site called Blah Girls. It’s run by Ashton Kutcher, yep, the old Punkr’, and Todd Goldman, who founded David and Goliath clothing company, which has some really cool tees by the way.
Blah Girls has become my new favorite site I’ll be visiting ever Monday and Thursday, because that’s when they update with new videos.
It focuses around these three little girls, aka, Ashton’s bitches, talking, and doing some really crazy stuff. I don’t want to give anything away if you haven’t seen any yet.
These videos are hilarious and entertaining. It does have some language and crude humor, i think I am using that word right. (but they don’t over due it) Other than that, it’s great! I deffinately recommend you check them out and, to make it even more awesome, they have a twitter you can follow! Just go check out their videos and see for yourself.

Yep, Qik announces iPhone 3G support on August 13, and so has Flixwagon!! I prefer Qik over Flixwagon, because Flixwagon isn’t “live”. Just records video and uploads it to their site.

The Qik application can be found in Cydia, and Installer 4 beta in the 2.0 firmware, only on jailbroken iPhones.
Qik has a nice interface, but if you get stuck when it asks you for a activation code, just go to your Qik page, and hit reinstall Qik. You’ll have to have that text message, and keep it, in your iPhone’s SMS inbox for Qik to confirm your iPhone with your Qik page.
Check out some of my Qik’s from my iPhone here!
I love Qik, and will probably be using it everday.

Fluid.
I recently found this video on Viddler earlier today. It’s basically a how-to on making a Hahlo app and putting it in your Mac’s menu bar. It talks about Fluid, an app for Mac that lets you create Site specific browers, or SSB’s, turning your favorite web apps, like Hahlo, Brightkite, Facebook etc. into native apps for your Mac. Note: I mentioned these because I use them a lot on my iPhone, and they look better as apps too!
So, lets say you want to go ahead and get started on making your own SSB.
- Download Fluid from their site.
- Start Fluid once installed on your Mac.
- Fluid starts, and it has a box for the URL, name for your SSB app you want to create, the location where you want your app to be placed, and the icon you want to be used.
- You enter the URL that you want for your SSB, you can use my examples of either Hahlo, (hahlo.com), Brightkite, (i.brightkite.com) or Facebook, (iphone.facebook.com) I would use these mobile sites for the iPhone because it shows up neater, readable, and smaller, and the iPhone web apps look cool
- I’ll go ahead and type in hahlo.com and name the SSB app Hahlo, because you can use a user script for it to work with Growl, so you will get Twitter notifications in the corner of your Mac’s screen.
- You can put the app in the Application folder, because it’s easier and already set.
- I used the Websites Favicon, so i can add some color to the app when it loads, or you can add some color to your menubar, which I’ll discus in the next steps.
- Click on create, and then Fluid will create your SSB app.
- When Fluid finished, click on launch and your app should launch.
- If you want to keep your app in the dock, thats OK, but you can also put it in your Mac’s menubar.
- Resize your app to the size you would like and go to your newly created app’s preferences.
- Type Command+T to create a new tab with your app.
- go to www.usersripts.org and search for Hahlo Fluid
- Click on the first result you see, it should be the one that explains it be used with Growl. Growl gives you notfications for certain programs on your Mac, such as iTunes, Limewire, Xtorrent, etc.
- Go to the Growl page, and download and install Growl onto your Mac.
- Once Growl is installed, go back to the tab within your Hahlo app, the userscripts.org tab, and install the script you’ve previously clicked on.
- Then the script should be installed.
- Now, before Growl gives you notifications for Hahlo, you need to adjust some Hahlo settings.
- Go to your Hahlo app, click Menu, then settings.
- Once you’re into your settings, turn off Inline messages, and replies. (Don’t worry, you’ll still get your replies and direct messages with Twitter, this is just turning off a nifty setting when using Hahlo with your iPhone. ) and you need to go to the timeline in Hahlo so Growl can start giving the notifications.
- Now, you should be able to be using Hahlo within your Mac’s menubar and receiving updates with Growl.
- If you would like to adjust some Growl settings, go to your Sytem Preferences and it should be listed under ‘Other’.
I hope you found this helpful.
Fluid is fun little SSB app creator and I am now running Facebook, Brightkite, Hahlo, and some other blog’s i visit on a day to day basis, including Tasty Blog Snack, iBoughtAMac, and more.
If you are a script writer, how about you make one for Brightkite to work with Growl. That’d be awesome!

Cuil, cool is in someways, and not as cool in others.
I think that Cuil has a good idea but sort of redisigning the way you search things, i.e: thumbnails, and results appear in 2, to 3, columns.

Cuil also has auto-suggest, nothing new, and nothing great, just something im pointing out that Google doesnt have unless you’ve already searched it.
Cuil is made up of former Google employees, but it still isn’t the Google killer is was made out to be. I do think that within the future, it may actually kill Google. If you dissagree, think about it, Google has been out since late 1998, while Cuil has only been out not even a couple of weeks yet. So i think people should quit complaining about how it sometimes doesnt show exactly what youre searching for, and hey, neither does Google part of the time. Give it some time people!

I’ve been getting more and more obsessed with video editing and graphic designing. I currently am on a MacBook (2007 edition) and I was wanting to upgrade to a MacBook Pro because of various reasons. My mom is currently building a new house, so i can’t just ask for a Macbook Pro for my birthday, especially not my birthday, or for christmas. I also think im a little too young, legally, to have a job in town, so I was wondering if anyone who is reading this would like to help me make this upgarde by either sponsoring one to me, i think i said that right, or donate some extra cash you may, or may not, want to spend on me.
I also wouldn’t mind doing some work on the side for any of you to get some extra cash, or if you just want to hand it out, thats always good too.
So, if you want to go ahead and donate, then my paypal address is joshftv@gmail.com, or you can use Chipin to donate also. Much appreciation in advance. Any other questions, just drop an email on me.

Yep. After almost 2 week wait, I got my black iPhone 3G.. The whol point of me getting a 3G.. was to use 3G.. but guess what!?!?: 3G isn’t where i live, but they got it covered in Montgomery about 50 miles away. So, what I might do, is just write to AT&T and pretty much make them have 3G where I live. Good right?! GPS works good with EDGE, a little lag, and map load a tad bit slow, but works!! AppStore is nice, just still waiting for Qik for iPhone 3G.. guess it wouldn’t matter since I can’t get 3G.. but hopefully AT&T will extend their 3G service. Thoughts? Questions? Full video review of 2.0 and iPhone 3G coming soon.
